Hooper Bay City, Alaska is a city of the Wade Hampton Census Area, Alaska, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1014 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1109, making it the 55th most populous in Alaska. The city has a total area of 8.76 square miles (22.69 sq km), of which, 8.68 square miles (22.48 sq km) of it is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 sq km) of it is water, making it Alaska's 101st smallest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1014 residents, 227 households, and 187 families in the city. The population density was 116.8 people per square mile (45.1/kmē), it is 61st most densely populated city in Alaska. There were 239 housing units at an average density of 27.5 per square mile (10.62/kmē). The average household size was 4.47 people, and the average family size was 4.97 people.
