As per the 2000 census, census designated place has a population of 3609 inhabitants. It is the 29th most populous in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. The census designated place spans an area of 5.13 mi˛ (13.29 sq km), of which, 4.73 square miles (12.25 sq km) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.04 sq km) of it is water, making it the 23rd largest by size in New Hampshire. It is ranks 12 in the size of its inland waterways in New Hampshire.
