Hood River County is one of the 36 county of Oregon, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 20411 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 21536, making it Oregon's 25th largest county. The county comprises an area of 533.56 miē (1381.91 kmē), of which, 522.35 square miles (1352.88 kmē) of it is land and 11.21 square miles (29.03 kmē) of it is water, making it Oregon's second smallest county by total area.

The population density was 39.1 people per square mile (15.1/kmē), making its Oregon's 16th most densely populated county.
