Homer City Borough is one of the borough of Indiana County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 1844 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1711, It is the 651st most populous in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The borough spans an area of 0.56 square miles (1.45 square kilometre), it is the 368th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1844 residents, 805 households, and 511 families in the borough. The population density was 3298.3 people per square mile (1273.48/kmē), it is the 343rd most densely populated borough in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There were 869 housing units at an average density of 1551.8 per square mile (599.15/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.28 persons, and the average family size was 2.91 persons. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 22.1% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 27% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 20.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.1 males. The median age was 41.5 years, the median age of male residents at 38.6 and the median age of female residents at 43.6. The racial makeup of the borough was 1833 White, 4 Black or African American, American Indian, 1 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 6 from two or more races and Ohter races.
