Holton City is a city located in Jackson County, Kansas, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Holton City had an official population of 3353 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3258, It is the 81st largest by population in the U.S. state of Kansas. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.54 square miles (6.58 square kilometre), of which, 2.45 square miles (6.35 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 78th largest by size in Kansas.
