It covers total area of 2417.65 mi˛ (6261.68 square kilometre), of which, 2412.66 square miles (6248.76 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.99 square miles (12.92 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the fifth largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
