Holstein City is a United States city located in the Ida County, Iowa, United States. In 2000, city's population was 1470 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1371, It is 202nd most populous in Iowa. The city spans an area of 1.46 mi˛ (3.78 square kilometre), of which, 1.45 square miles (3.76 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Iowa's 249th largest by total area.
