The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 5017, It is the 429th largest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. The city has a total area of 1.73 sq mi (4.48 square kilometre), of which, 1.62 square miles (4.2 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 247th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
