As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 13199, giving it the 225th largest population among Florida. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.52 sq mi (11.71 kmē ), of which, 3.89 square miles (10.08 kmē) of it is land and 0.63 square miles (1.63 kmē) of it is water, it is the 368th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
