Holdrege City is one of the city of Phelps County, Nebraska, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 5636 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 5172, It is the 31st largest in terms of population. It has total area of 3.78 sq mi (9.79 sq km), of which, 3.76 square miles (9.74 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 23rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
