Holden City is one of the city of Johnson County, Missouri, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 2510 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2543, making it the 214th most populous in Missouri. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.42 sq mi (6.27 sq km), of which, 2.41 square miles (6.24 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 226th largest in terms of geographical size.
