The July 2008 population estimate is 4450, It is Alabama's 120th largest by population . Its area is just over 11.83 sq mi (30.64 kmē), of which, 11.62 square miles (30.1 kmē) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 kmē) of it is water, making it Alabama's 110th largest by total area.
