Hobart City is a city located in the Lake County, Indiana, United States. Hobart City had an official population of 25363 in 2000. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 27891, making it the 33rd most populous in Indiana. The city spans an area of 26.71 mi˛ (69.18 sq km), of which, 26.21 square miles (67.88 sq km) of it is land and 0.49 square miles (1.27 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 12th largest by total area in Indiana.
