Its area is just over 16.31 square miles (42.24 square kilometre), of which, 16.22 square miles (42.01 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 42nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.
