Hillsmere Shores Cdp, Anne Arundel County, Maryland is a census designated place located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2977. It is the 205th largest in terms of population. The census designated place extends throughout a territory of 2.03 sq mi (5.26 sq km ), of which, 1.39 square miles (3.6 sq km) of it is land and 0.64 square miles (1.66 sq km) of it is water, making it the 225th largest by size in Maryland.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2977 people in the census designated place, organized into 1107 households, and 868 families residing in the census designated place. The population density was 2141.8 people per square mile (826.95/kmē), it is Maryland's 157th most densely populated census designated place.
