Hillsboro City is a United States city located in the Vernon County, Wisconsin, United States. In 2000, the population was 1302. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1345, making it the 318th most populous in Wisconsin. The city spans an area of 1.23 sq mi (3.19 square kilometre), of which, 1.2 square miles (3.11 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 196th smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1302 people, 76 households, and 48 families residing in the city.
