Hill County is a United States county located in the United States of Montana. The county has a population of 16673 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 16454, It is the 11th largest in terms of population. It is spread over 2916.05 miē (7552.53 kmē), of which, 2896.36 square miles (7501.54 kmē ) of it is land and 19.69 square miles (51 kmē) of it is water, it is the 18th largest by area in the U.S. state of Montana.

In the county Age distribution was 28.2% under the age of 18, 11.6% from 18 to 24, 26% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 100.7 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 103.7 females. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 16454, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 75.28% White, 0.34% Black or African American, 21.34% American Indian, 0.45% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 2.57% from two or more races.
