Highland Village City is a United States city located in the Denton County, Texas, United States. In 2000, city's population was 12173 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 16737, making it the 180th most populous in Texas. It has total area of 6.41 sq mi (16.6 kmē), of which, 5.52 square miles (14.3 kmē) of it is land and 0.89 square miles (2.31 kmē) of it is water, making it the 344th largest by size in Texas.
