Hettinger City is a city in the Adams County, North Dakota, United States. In 2000, city's population was 1307 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1138, It is the 43rd largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 0.85 sq mi (2.2 square kilometre), of which, 0.84 square miles (2.18 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it North Dakota's 138th largest by total area.
