Henryetta City, Oklahoma


Henryetta City is a city located in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 6096 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 6031 in July 2008, giving it the 59th largest population among Oklahoma. It has total area of 6.08 sq mi (15.75 kmē), of which, 6.04 square miles (15.64 kmē) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 kmē) of it is water, it is the 169th largest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 6096 people, 2460 households, and 1588 families living in the city. The population density was 1009.8 people per square mile (389.89/kmē), making its Oklahoma's 184th most densely populated city. There were 2844 housing units at an average density of 470.9 per square mile (181.82/kmē). The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 3. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 25.9% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 86.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 80.1 males. The median age is 38.9 years, The median age of males was 34.8 years, for females the median age was 42 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 4858 White, 35 Black or African American, 750 American Indian, 20 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 384 from two or more races and 48 Ohter races.
