Henry County is a county located in the United States of Missouri. The population of the county was 21997 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 22179, giving it the 51st largest population among Missouri's county. It has total area of 732.55 sq mi (1897.3 square kilometre), of which, 702.48 square miles (1819.41 square kilometre) of it is land and 30.07 square miles (77.88 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 25th largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is ranks fifth in the size of its inland waterways in Missouri.

As of the census of 2000, there were 21997 people, 9133 households, and 6245 families residing in the county. The population density was 31.3 people per square mile (12.08/kmē), it is Missouri's 56th most densely populated county. There were 10261 housing units at an average density of 14.6 per square mile (5.64/kmē). The average household size was 2.37 people, and the average family size was 2.86 people. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 23.7% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 18.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.3 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 22179, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 21392 White, 263 Black or African American, 179 American Indian, 72 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, and 268 from two or more races.
