Hendricks County is a county in the United States of Indiana. The population of the county was 104093 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 137240, It is the 11th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Indiana. The county has a total area of 408.88 sq mi (1058.99 kmē), of which, 408.39 square miles (1057.73 kmē) of it is land and 0.48 square miles (1.24 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 40th largest by total area among Indiana's county.

The population density was 254.9 people per square mile (98.42/kmē), it is the 18th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 39229 housing units at an average density of 96.1 per square mile (37.1/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.71 persons, and the average family size was 3.08 persons. The population's age distribution was 28% under the age of 18, 7% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 9.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.4 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 137240, The racial makeup of the county was 92.48% White, 4.65% Black or African American, 0.22% American Indian, 1.62% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 0.99% from two or more races.
