Hendersonville City is a city located in the Henderson County, North Carolina, United States. It is home to over 10420 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 12005 in July 2008, giving it the 65th largest population among North Carolina. The city encompasses an area of 5.97 miē (15.46 kmē ), of which, 5.96 square miles (15.44 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 143rd largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
