Henderson County, Tennessee is a county of the United States of Tennessee. As of 2000 the population was 25522. Its population was estimated at 26916 in July 2008, It is 54th most populous county in Tennessee. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 525.91 sq mi (1362.1 sq km), of which, 520.02 square miles (1346.85 sq km) of it is land and 5.89 square miles (15.26 sq km) of it is water, it is the 35th largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

For every 100 females there were 92.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 26916, The racial makeup of the county was 24360 White, 2160 Black or African American, 39 American Indian, 45 Asian, 6 Native Hawaiian, and 306 from two or more races.
