Henderson City is a city located in Clark County, Nevada, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The city has a population of 175381 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 252064, It is the fourth largest by population in the U.S. state of Nevada. Its area is just over 79.69 sq mi (206.4 kmē), it is the 11th largest in terms of geographical size.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 175381 residents, 66331 households, and 47111 families in the city. The population density was 2200.8 people per square mile (849.73/kmē), making its Nevada's 13th most densely populated city. There were 71149 housing units at an average density of 892.8 per square mile (344.71/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.63 persons, and the average family size was 3.05 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 25.1% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.1% who were 65 or older. The median age was 35.9 years, the median age of male residents at 35.3 and the median age of female residents at 36.4. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 84.49% White, 3.76% Black or African American, 0.7% American Indian, 3.98% Asian, 0.42% Native Hawaiian, 3.49% from two or more races and 3.16% Other races.
