Heavener City is a city located in Le Flore County, Oklahoma, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 3201 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 3233, It is 100th most populous in Oklahoma. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.94 sq mi (12.79 sq km ), of which, 4.92 square miles (12.74 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, making it Oklahoma's 190th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3201 people, 1113 households, and 784 families residing in the city.
