Hazlehurst City is a one of the Copiah County, Mississippi, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 4400 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 4387, It is the 72nd largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.42 mi˛ (11.45 sq km), of which, 4.38 square miles (11.34 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, making it the 119th largest by size in Mississippi.
