Hayden City is one of the city of Kootenai County, Idaho, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. In 2000, the population was 9159. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 12873, It is 19th most populous in Idaho. The city has a total area of 7.85 square miles (20.33 sq km), giving it the 18th largest by total area among Idaho.

The population density was 1167.5 people per square mile (450.77/kmē), it is the 99th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Idaho.
