Hawarden City is a city in the Sioux County, Iowa, United States. Hawarden City had an official population of 2478 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2403, making it Iowa's 129th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.01 sq mi (7.8 sq km ), of which, 2.88 square miles (7.46 sq km) of it is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 sq km) of it is water, it is the 124th largest in terms of geographical size.
