Havelock City is a United States city located in the Craven County, North Carolina, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 22442 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 21764, It is 30th most populous in North Carolina. It covers total area of 17.57 square miles (45.51 kmē), of which, 16.71 square miles (43.28 kmē) of it is land and 0.86 square miles (2.23 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 39th largest by total area in North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 22442 residents, 6411 households, and 5279 families in the city. The population density was 1342.9 people per square mile (518.5/kmē), making its North Carolina's 100th most densely populated city.
