Haskell County is a county located in the United States of Oklahoma. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 11792 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 12152, making it the 52nd most populous county in Oklahoma. It covers total area of 625.27 mi˛ (1619.44 square kilometre), of which, 577.03 square miles (1494.5 square kilometre) of it is land and 48.24 square miles (124.94 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 15th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 11792 people in the county, organized into 4624 households, and 3379 families residing in the county. The population density was 20.4 people per square mile (7.88/km˛), it is Oklahoma's 42nd most densely populated county. There were 5573 housing units at an average density of 9.7 per square mile (3.75/km˛). The average household size was 2.52 persons, and the average family size was 3 persons. In the county Age distribution was 26% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.4 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 12152, The racial makeup of the county was 76.63% White, 0.82% Black or African American, 15.74% American Indian, 0.55% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 6.25% from two or more races.
