Hartland Village is one of the city of Waukesha County, Wisconsin, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 7905 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 8692, giving it the 93rd largest population among Wisconsin. The city spans an area of 4.52 mi˛ (11.71 sq km), of which, 4.51 square miles (11.68 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 138th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7905 people, 76 households, and 48 families living in the city. The population density was 1753.7 people per square mile (677.11/km˛), it is Wisconsin's 96th most densely populated city. There were 3140 housing units at an average density of 696.2 per square mile (268.8/km˛). The average household size was 2.63 persons, and the average family size was 3.13 persons. Age range in the city was well distributed with 29.7% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 33.5% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 7.5% who were 65 or older.
