Hartford City is a one of the Van Buren County, Michigan, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. Hartford City had an official population of 2476 in 2000. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 2453, making it Michigan's 278th largest. The city has a total area of 1.37 sq mi (3.55 kmē), makes it the 399th largest by total area in Michigan.
