As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 730, giving it the 110th smallest population among Louisiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.05 sq mi (2.72 square kilometre), of which, 0.94 square miles (2.43 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 50th smallest in terms of geographical size.
