Harrison County, Ohio is a county of the United States of Ohio. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 15856 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 15387, It is the fifth least populous county in the U.S. state of Ohio. It has total area of 410.79 mi˛ (1063.94 square kilometre), of which, 403.53 square miles (1045.14 square kilometre) of it is land and 7.26 square miles (18.8 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 16th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio.

For every 100 females there were 94.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.9 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 15387, The racial makeup of the county was 14808 White, 370 Black or African American, 15 American Indian, 17 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 176 from two or more races.
