Harriman City is a one of the Roane and Morgan counties, Tennessee, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 6744 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 6658, It is 79th most populous in Tennessee. It is spread over 10.23 sq mi (26.5 sq km), of which, 10.04 square miles (26 sq km ) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 sq km) of it is water, it is the 86th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6744 residents, 5369 households, and 3232 families in the city. The population density was 671.5 people per square mile (259.27/kmē), it is 154th most densely populated city in Tennessee.
