Hardeman County is a one of the county from Tennessee's 95 counties, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 28105. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 27848, making it the 53rd most populous county in Tennessee. The county encompasses an area of 670.39 square miles (1736.3 sq km ), of which, 667.55 square miles (1728.95 sq km) of it is land and 2.84 square miles (7.36 sq km) of it is water, making it the fifth largest by size in Tennessee.
