Harahan City, Louisiana is a city of the Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. In 2000, city's population was 9885 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 9306 in July 2008, It is the 54th most populous in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The city extends throughout a territory of 2.45 sq mi (6.35 sq km ), of which, 1.97 square miles (5.1 sq km) of it is land and 0.48 square miles (1.24 sq km) of it is water, making it the 225th largest by size in Louisiana.
