Hampton Town is one of the town of Hampton County, South Carolina, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, town's population was 2837 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2754, It is South Carolina's 137th largest by population . The town comprises an area of 4.55 square miles (11.78 kmē), of which, 4.53 square miles (11.73 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 118th largest by area in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
