Hampton Borough is a borough located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 1546. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1628, It is New Jersey's 63rd smallest by population . The borough spans an area of 1.54 square miles (3.99 sq km), makes it the 160th smallest by total area in New Jersey.

In the borough the population was spread out, with 25.7% under the age of 18, 10.9% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 11% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 106.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108 males. The median age of the borough's population was 34.7 years, The median age of males was 31.4 years, for females the median age was 37.7 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 1407 White, 77 Black or African American, 6 American Indian, 15 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 29 from two or more races and 12 Ohter races.
