Hammond City is a city located in Wabasha County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The city has a population of 198 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 181, making it the 188th least populous in Minnesota. The city spans an area of 0.11 sq mi (0.28 kmē), of which, 0.1 square miles (0.26 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the seventh smallest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 198 residents, 77 households, and 53 families in the city. The population density was 1896.3 people per square mile (732.17/kmē), making it the 82nd most densely populated city in Minnesota. There were 84 housing units at an average density of 840 per square mile (324.33/kmē). The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 2.92. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 26.8% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 38.4% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 or older.
