Hamilton County is a county in the United States of Tennessee. The population of county in 2000 stood at 307896 as per the Census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 332848, giving it the fourth largest population among Tennessee's county. It covers total area of 575.72 square miles (1491.11 sq km), of which, 542.44 square miles (1404.91 sq km) of it is land and 33.28 square miles (86.19 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 22nd largest by total area in Tennessee. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Tennessee.

The population density was 567.6 people per square mile (219.15/kmē), making its Tennessee's fourth most densely populated county.
