Hamilton County is one of the 93 county of Nebraska, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 9403 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 9300, It is the 29th most populous county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. Its area is just over 546.77 mi˛ (1416.13 square kilometre), of which, 543.68 square miles (1408.12 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.09 square miles (8 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 23rd smallest in terms of geographical size.
