Hall County, Texas is a county located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 3782 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 3400, giving it the 37th smallest population among Texas's county. It is spread over 904.08 sq mi (2341.56 square kilometre), of which, 903.09 square miles (2338.99 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.99 square miles (2.56 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 153rd largest by total area among Texas's county.

The population density was 4.2 people per square mile (1.62/kmē), giving it the 47th least densely populated county among the Texas. In the county Age distribution was 27.2% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 22.1% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 21.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 109.1 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 115.6 females. The July 2008 population estimate is 3400, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 88.44% White, 9.21% Black or African American, 0.91% American Indian, 0.59% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.85% from two or more races.
