Hall County, Nebraska is a county of the United States of Nebraska. As of 2000 the population was 53534. Its population was estimated at 56401 in July 2008, making it Nebraska's fourth largest county. Its area is just over 552.22 sq mi (1430.24 sq km), of which, 546.4 square miles (1415.17 sq km) of it is land and 5.83 square miles (15.1 sq km) of it is water, making it Nebraska's 24th smallest county by total area.

The population density was 98 people per square mile (37.84/kmē), giving it the fourth most densely populated county among the Nebraska. There were 21574 housing units at an average density of 39.5 per square mile (15.25/kmē). The average household size was 2.57 persons, and the average family size was 3.08 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.2% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 14% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.2 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 56401, The racial makeup of the county was 53552 White, 1112 Black or African American, 347 American Indian, 769 Asian, 90 Native Hawaiian, and 531 from two or more races.
