Hall County is a county located in Georgia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. Hall County had an official population of 139277 in 2000. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 184814, It is Georgia's 11th most populous county. Its area is just over 429.19 square miles (1111.6 square kilometre), of which, 393.66 square miles (1019.57 square kilometre) of it is land and 35.53 square miles (92.02 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 54th largest by total area among Georgia's county. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Georgia.

The population density was 353.8 people per square mile (136.6/kmē), it is Georgia's 16th most densely populated county. There were 51046 housing units at an average density of 129.7 per square mile (50.08/kmē). The average household size was 2.89 people, and the average family size was 3.26 people. In the county the population was spread out, with 26.9% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 9.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 96.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 98.1 females. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 184814, The racial makeup of the county was 165941 White, 12981 Black or African American, 693 American Indian, 3115 Asian, 348 Native Hawaiian, and 1736 from two or more races.
