Guyton City is a city in the Effingham County, Georgia, United States. Guyton City had an official population of 917 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 1926 in July 2008, It is the 346th largest by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. It covers total area of 1.2 mi˛ (3.11 sq km), of which, 1.19 square miles (3.08 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 140th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 917 people, 300 households, and 236 families living in the city. The population density was 770.3 people per square mile (297.41/km˛), giving it the 202nd most densely populated city among the Georgia. There were 340 housing units at an average density of 285.7 per square mile (110.31/km˛). The average household size was 3.06 people, and the average family size was 3.5 people. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 33.9% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 or older.
