Guthrie County is a United States county located in the United States of Iowa. It is home to over 11353 people (2000 census). According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 10956, It is the 31st smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Iowa. The county has a total area of 593.06 sq mi (1536.02 kmē), of which, 590.6 square miles (1529.65 kmē) of it is land and 2.46 square miles (6.37 kmē) of it is water, making it Iowa's 22nd largest county by total area.
