It covers total area of 64.23 sq mi (166.35 square kilometre), of which, 56.91 square miles (147.4 square kilometre) of it is land and 7.32 square miles (18.96 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the second largest by total area in Mississippi. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Mississippi.
