Guadalupe County, New Mexico is a county of the United States of New Mexico. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 4680 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 4346, making it the fifth least populous county in New Mexico. The county extends throughout a territory of 3031.58 miē (7851.76 kmē ), of which, 3030.37 square miles (7848.62 kmē) of it is land and 1.2 square miles (3.11 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 21st largest by total area among New Mexico's county.

The population density was 1.5 people per square mile (0.58/kmē), making it the fifth least densely populated county in New Mexico. There were 2160 housing units at an average density of 0.7 per square mile (0.27/kmē). The average household size was 2.51 persons, and the average family size was 3.05 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 24.4% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 30.7% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 13.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 121.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 126.3 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 4346, The racial makeup of the county was 4127 White, 74 Black or African American, 65 American Indian, 54 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, and 24 from two or more races.
